LEXINGTON, KY – May 5, 2025 – Lexington Clinic is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Walters, MBA, as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). With more than 25 years of leadership experience in healthcare IT and cybersecurity, Walters brings deep expertise and a strong track record of innovation to the organization.
A University of Kentucky graduate, Walters most recently served as Executive Director of Technology at UK HealthCare, where he spent nine years leading enterprise technology strategy and operations. Before that, he served as Chief Information Officer and Executive Director for the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, overseeing the state’s health IT infrastructure, including the implementation of Kynect, Kentucky’s healthcare exchange.
Throughout his career, Walters has held key positions across the healthcare and health insurance sectors, consistently driving operational improvements, patient-focused innovations, and secure data management practices.
