Fernando de Castro, MD

Dr. Fernando de Castro received his medical degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He went on to complete an internship in internal medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL and residency training in dermatology at Mayo Clinic. Dr. de Castro then completed a fellowship in immunedermatology and a fellowship in dermatopathology at Mayo Clinic.


He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, American Board of Dermatopathology and the American Board of Clinical and Laboratory Dermatological Immunology. He joined DAK in 1995 and is the Director of the Dermatopathology Reference Laboratory at DAK and the Medical Director for the DAK Ambulatory Surgery Center. Dr. de Castro currently serves on the Voluntary Faculty at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
