Dr. Elaine Alexander is board-certified in Internal Medicine and in Rheumatology. She has expertise in the diagnosis and management of all forms of inflammatory arthritis, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, seronegative spondyloarthropathy, inflammatory muscle disease (dermatomyositis and polymyositis), arthritis associated with autoimmune connective tissue diseases such as lupus, vasculitic syndromes, gout, and calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease. Dr. Alexander has experience in osteoporosis screening and management. She performs procedures such as diagnostic and therapeutic joint aspiration, joint fluid analysis, and joint/bursa/tendon sheath injections.
