David R. Charles, DO, MBA, MPH

Dr. David R. Charles is double board-certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and general cardiology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. In addition, Dr. Charles holds a certified cardiac device specialist from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners, demonstrating his expertise in heart rhythm management and device therapy. Dr. Charles specializes in electrophysiology procedures, including catheter ablation for arrhythmias like atrial fibrillation. He also specializes in cardiac device implants such as pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICD), Biventricular pacemakers and ICDs, and transcatheter pacemakers.


Dr. Charles has a vast educational background. In addition to his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he also holds an MPH from Tulane School of Public Health, an MBA from St. Joseph's University, and served as associate professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.
