Dr. Chen is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He provides services in small bowel capsule endoscopy (Pillcam); eosinophilic esophagitis; colonoscopy with biopsy, polypectomy, stricture dilation; EGD with argon plasma coagulation/ablation angiodysplasia; band ligation of varices; dilation of esophagus and pylorus; PEG placement/replacement; sclerotherapy; ERCP with sphincterectomy, stent placement, stone removal; esophageal manometry; flexible sigmoidoscopy with biopsy, dilation, polypectomy; liver disease, including autoimmune hepatitis, biliary disease, hemochromatosis, hepatitis C and hepatitis B, steatohepatitis (fatty liver), paracentesis, percutaneous liver biopsy; treatment for constipation/diarrhea, GERD, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome; peptic ulcer disease, and celiac disease testing and management. Dr. Chen's professional interests include biliary disease, diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP, gastrointestinal disorders, swallowing disorders, endoscopy, colitis, hepatitis and adolescents.
